Free Online AES Encryption Tool
Encrypt and decrypt text using military-grade AES-GCM encryption directly in your browser. No data is ever sent to a server.
Features
How AES-GCM Works
1. Your password is converted to a cryptographic key using PBKDF2 (100K iterations).
2. A random 16-byte salt and 12-byte IV are generated for each encryption.
3. AES-GCM encrypts the plaintext and produces an authentication tag.
4. Salt + IV + ciphertext are concatenated and Base64-encoded.
Security Notes
- Use strong, unique passwords. AES is only as secure as your password.
- Each encryption produces different output (random salt + IV), even with the same password and text.
- AES-256-GCM is approved by NIST and used by governments worldwide.
